Sex Offender Arrested For Making Lewd Comments At SGV Teen: Cops
A transient and known sex offender was arrested at Claremont Village after making "inappropriate sexual comments" to a teenage girl.

CLAREMONT, CA —A young woman at the Claremont Village reported a transient made lewd and sexual comments directed at her last Wednesday, police said.
Claremont Police responded to the area of Indian Hill Bl. and First St., regarding the report, according to Claremont Police Lt. Jason Walters.
She worked with police to describe and then identify the suspect.
Javier Sanchez, 26, is a local transient and registered sex offender who frequents the Claremont Village area, Walters said. He fled the scene before the officer's arrival.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles District Attorney filed charges against Sanchez and issued an arrest warrant, according to Walters.
Within minutes of receiving the warrant, CPD Officers actively searched for and located Sanchez, where he was arrested. He was booked in the CPD Jail and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Sanchez is scheduled to appear in Pomona Court on Friday.

This marked the second lewd conduct arrest for Sanchez in under two weeks.
"Sanchez was recently arrested on November 21, where he committed a lewd act at the Claremont Library," Walters said.
Sanchez pleaded guilty in that case, sentenced to 90-days. He was released after serving 1-day, due to overcrowding in the county jail, Walters said.
Sanchez's photograph is being released to the public to locate other potential victims.
