St. Lucy’s Priory High School Hosts Virtual Christmas Boutique
Glendora-Based High School hosts its First-Ever Virtual Christmas Boutique Over Four Days: October 29 through November 1

(GLENDORA, Calif.) Oct. 22, 2020 – St. Lucy’s Priory High School, all-girls Catholic high school, is proud to announce the return of its time-honored tradition – The 56th annual ‘Home for the Holidays’ Christmas Boutique. In consideration of the public health mandates and impact of COVID-19, this year’s event will take place virtually, over the course of four days, from Thursday, October 29 through Sunday, November 1, 2020 via Zoom and online.
“Our ‘Home for the Holidays’ Christmas Boutique is a St. Lucy’s tradition that parents, students and the Glendora community look forward to every year,” said Judy Hartranft, St. Lucy’s Priory High School principal. “Rather than cancel this year’s boutique, we wanted to be proactive and reimagine how we could deliver the experience with health and safety in mind. This led us to the creating our first ever virtual boutique that will run for four days instead of one and include new experiences like Holiday Zoom Rooms and a Drive-In Mass. We are very excited for this year’s boutique!”
The St. Lucy’s Priory High School “Home for the Holidays” Christmas Boutique is traditionally celebrated among family and friends with seasonal music, food and shopping to spread cheer. This year’s virtual Christmas Boutique, now in its 56th year, will include the following reimagined events: holiday workshops where participants can virtually attend, such as a gingerbread, holiday scavenger hunt, cocoa, cookies and canvas, holiday wreath decorating demonstration, and a meet-and-greet visit with Santa. There will be holiday zoom rooms and virtual booths guests can attend online. Visitors can also view, bid and purchase items on St. Lucy’s “Christmas Boutique” online event page. The Spirit Shoppe will be available virtually for guests to purchase St. Lucy’s spirit gear.

With the support of this year’s parent co-chairs, Lisa Gomez, Valerie Moussa and Sandy Olson, this year they are kicking off the Boutique with a drive-up on Thursday, October 29 when guests will come in their cars to the Glendora campus to pick up their pre-ordered dinners and holiday workshop kits to use during the virtual events. Guests will be serenaded with Christmas songs from the safety of their car. On Sunday, November 1, the final day of the boutique, St. Lucy’s will hold its first ever drive-in mass followed by a holiday drive-in movie later that day.
“St. Lucy’s is not just a school, it is a community,” said Olson. “The difference is, when we send our daughters there, we believe that we, too, are part of that community and we want to be involved in our daughter’s education. We want to be involved in the success of the school, and that’s why it is important to all of us.”
