Upland Man Dies In Single-Car Crash On 210 Freeway In Glendora

The crash occurred on westbound Interstate 210 near Bonnie Cove Avenue in Glendora, according to the California Highway Patrol.

GLENDORA, CA — A man died in a single-car crash on Interstate 210 in Glendora Thursday morning.

The driver was identified as a 74-year-old Upland man who was driving a 2007 Nissan Murano, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Chen. The man’s identity was withheld pending notification of his family.

No other cars were involved in the crash, and the man was the sole occupant of the Nissan. Drugs or alcohol were not considered factors in the crash, according to Chen.

“We don’t have any indication the vehicle was driven in a reckless manner prior to the collision,” he added.

The man was traveling in the No. 3 lane of the westbound 210 near Bonnie Cove Avenue around 10:30 a.m. when his car veered into the right-most lane and struck a guardrail, Chen said.

The car overturned once before landing back on its wheels. Paramedics performed CPR on the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene just after 11:20 a.m.

Anyone with information regarding the crash was asked to call the CHP’s Baldwin Park station at 626-338-1164 and ask for Officer Ray.
