West Covina Rotary & Kiwanis Clubs Partner for Garden Gourmets
West Covina Rotary & Kiwanis Clubs Partner to Support the Hurst Ranch Garden Gourmets Program for the 2018/19 School Year.
The Rotary Club of West Covina and Kiwanis Club of West Covina have announced they will partner in sponsoring a class at the Hurst Ranch Garden Gourmets program for the coming 2018/19 school year, the announcement was made today by Rotary Club President Vicky Abbott and Kiwanis Club President Andres Castaneda. In making their announcement both clubs noted the importance of working together in supporting youth programs in our community and the Hurst Ranch program offers a very unique opportunity for our kids to learn about health, nutrition and agriculture.
The Garden Gourmets program was established in 2012 as a collaborative program between the Hurst Ranch Historical Foundation, West Covina Unified School District and the leadership and support of Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center.
