HALF MOON BAY, CA — Though Friday was predicted to be "unseasonably cool" with scattered showers, Peninsula residents and visitors can expect a warming trend to kick in this holiday weekend, forecasters said. High pressure is expected to build in the region, leading to warmer temperatures on Sunday through Tuesday especially.

A 20 percent chance of showers before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. South southwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming west northwest after midnight.
