Half Moon Bay: Public Meeting Regarding Poplar Street Scheduled

The Half Moon Bay community is invited to attend a Dec. 12 meeting to learn more about efforts to enhance safety along Poplar Street.

HALF MOON BAY, CA -- Residents are being invited by the city to attend and learn more about efforts to enhance safety, promote traffic calming, and preserve the environmental resources along Poplar Street between Main Street and Railroad Avenue.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at Half Moon Bay Library, 620 Correas St.

During the meeting, community members will be able learn more about the city's efforts to enhance safety, promote traffic calming, and preserve the environmental resources along Poplar Street between Main Street. and Railroad Avenue. The agenda will include:

The city and a project consultant are working to collect data for the project to ensure enough information is gathered for the design phase. To date, existing traffic and tree inventory information has been gathered.

As the consultant continues to collect data on the project, residents and visitors can expect to see employees in reflective safety attire around Poplar Street. The information is expected to help shape the design as the project moves forward.
