$30; Mizu Salon will participate in a global 24-hour Cut-A-Thon on Earth Day, April 22nd. Aveda stylists in salons worldwide will volunteer their time to offer haircuts in return for a donation to Earth Month. The aim is to set a Guinness World Record for most money raised for a charity by haircuts in a 24-hour period. All proceeds will be donated to THE CLEAN WATER FUND.

Shure’s National Open Mic Night for Aspiring Performers Comes to Half Moon Bay

FREE; In celebration of its 88th Anniversary on April 25, Shure is hosting its second annual National Open Mic Night, a week-long observance that encourages hundreds of aspiring performers to take the mic and perform at 28 venues across the United States including Cameron’s Inn. Each participating venue will receive and exclusively use personalized Shure microphones during its open mic night event, including the legendary SM58®, the world’s most popular vocal microphone that has built a strong reputation among musicians—from The Who to The Black Keys—for its durability and sound.
