Local PGA Professional Elected to the PGA Board of Directors

Bill Troyanoski is the PGA General Manager at Half Moon Bay Golf Links.

From PGA Golf:Bill Troyanoski, PGA General Manager at Half Moon Bay (California) Golf Links, has joined the PGA Board of Directors as District 11 Director. He was elected to the Board of Directors on Friday at the 102nd PGA Annual Meeting, in Indian Wells, California. Troyanoski will serve a three-year term, representing the Aloha, Northern California and Southern California PGA Sections.

A distinguished PGA Member with more than 32 years of experience and a commitment to governance, Troyanoski currently serves as the President of the Northern California PGA Section.

Recognizing the importance of continuing education, Troyanoski is a PGA Master Professional, the highest educational designation that can be obtained by a PGA Member. He is also a Certified Club Manager (CCM) with the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). In addition, Troyanoski currently serves on the PGA of America National Education Committee.

Troyanoski serves on the Board of Directors for both the NCPGA Foundation and the SETON Medical Foundation. He is the also Executive Director of the U.S Navy SEAL Tribute and Celebration at Half Moon Bay Golf Links, which benefits the Navy SEAL Foundation.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to represent my constituents in Hawaii and throughout Northern and Southern California as the new District 11 Director,” said Troyanoski. “I’m excited to further collaborate with this very distinguished board, while serving as an advocate for my fellow PGA Members.”

Troyanoski resides with his wife, Merlyn, and their two children, Sophia and Jack. Bill enjoys aviation and is a Private Instrument rated pilot. He also enjoys running and is an avid sports fan.

The PGA Board of Directors is composed of the Association’s President, Vice President, Secretary, Honorary President, and 17 Directors. The Directors include representatives from each of the PGA’s 14 Districts, two Independent Directors and a member of the PGA Tour. New District Directors are elected by their local PGA Sections.
