Pescadero Man Accused In 6-Year Sexual Abuse Of Minors

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A San Mateo County man has been arrested in connection to the continuous sexual abuse of two "young juveniles" at a home on the Peninsula, the sheriff's office says. Now, they are looking for other possible victims.

Francisco Nunez, 47, is accused of "multiple sexual assaults of two young juveniles over a six year period," according to sheriff's Det. Rosemerry Blankswade. The alleged assaults occurred between March 2009 and March 2015 at a private residence in Pescadero, she said.

Both victims were under 10 years of age, according to Blankswade.

Sheriff's officials did not disclose how or when the allegations against Nunez first came about, but said he was arrested last week after a thorough investigation.

"On ... May 8, 2019, after an extensive investigation by patrol deputies and detectives, the suspect was placed under arrest and booked at the Maguire Correctional Facility," Blankswade said in a news release.

Blankswade said authorities are now looking for other potential victims.

"We believe there are potentially more victims out there," she said, asking anyone with information related to the case to call detectives at 650-363-4055 or the anonymous tip line at 1-800-547-2700.

Blankswade said Nunez was arrested on suspicion of oral copulation of a juvenile, lewd acts on a minor under 14 years old, continuous sexual abuse of a minor and sodomy of a juvenile. His bail was set at $2,750,000, jail records showed.
