Robber Takes Wallet, Pushes Man To Ground Near HMB Airport: Cops

Sheriff's officials say the victim had pulled over to the side of the road when he was robbed and assaulted.

MOSS BEACH, CA — San Mateo County sheriff's officials are looking for a man who robbed another man — while his wife and child were in the car nearby — as he pulled over to the side of the road in Moss Beach over the weekend. The incident occurred Saturday around 11:35 p.m. along Airport Street as the victim was attempted to retrieve something from his trunk, according to sheriff's Det. Rosemerry Blankswade.

"The unknown suspect approached victim while he was removing items from the trunk of his vehicle," Blankswade said in a news release. "The suspect held an unknown sharp object, possibly a knife, to the victim’s lower back, demanded the victim’s wallet and told the victim not to turn around."

The detective said that after the man took the victim's wallet, he pushed the man to the ground and ran off.
