Suspect Accused Of Sexual Assault In Half Moon Bay

The female told law enforcement the attack occurred earlier this year in a parked car outside a restaurant/bar, officials said.

HALF MOON BAY, CA — A San Mateo County man was arrested Saturday for an alleged sexual assault of a woman that reportedly occurred in February in a car parked at a restaurant and bar on Capistrano Road in Half Moon Bay, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

The female reported the incident to deputies on Aug. 6, saying the assault took place in the man's vehicle outside Old Princeton Landing, officials said. After an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect, identified as Matthew Hann, 21, a resident of an unincorporated area in the county, the department said.

Hann was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on suspicion of felony charges of oral copulation and sexual penetration, deputies said.
