Tom Ogden Headlines Magic of the Coastside Rotary Fundraiser April 1st
Well known magician Tom Ogden headlines Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay Magic of the Coastside April 1. He's joined by Suzanne!

The magic is back for the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay! Magic of the Coastside, the Rotary Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, will be held at the IDES Hall in Half Moon Bay April 1 and will feature award-winning magician Tom Ogden as the entertainment headliner. This fun community evening of music, food, auction, and award presentation of the Service Above Self Award to outstanding Coastside volunteers is celebrating its 6th year of raising funds for projects to benefit the underserved in the Coastside. community. Past events have supported such projects as the RotaCare Clinic and a fishing trip for disabled veterans through Purple Heart Anglers.
Tom Ogden is the recipient of the Parlour Magician of the Year award from the Magic Castle in Hollywood, the clubhouse of the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood. He’ll team with Suzanne! to engage the audience at their tables and on the stage. None other than President Ronald Reagan engaged Tom for his 81st birthday and wrote this personal note to Tom following the show, "You are a great magician. I just wish I could make things disappear like you do. I could have used that trick on a few people in Washington." Tom has opened for Billy Crystal and Robin Williams and has performed in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Lake Tahoe. The show promises to be a fun, interactive and hilarious experience for the Coastside community. Suzanne! is renowned for her close-up magic which will delight the audience and is recipient of Close Up Magician of the Year Award at Hollywood’s Magic Castle.
Magic of the Coastside promises to be a sellout event, with tickets for the April 1 ready to go on sale in early February. Not only is it an opportunity for a great show but it’s also the premier venue for honoring Coastside volunteers from the local nonprofit community. Rotary International’s signature cause is the eradication of polio, and the end is in sight with just two countries in the world with endemic cases. The Half Moon Bay Club meets each Thursday for lunch at the Portuguese Center at 724 Kelly Street in downtown Half Moon Bay.
