Who Wants a Free Donut In Half Moon Bay?

HALF MOON BAY, CA — Get some exercise between now and Friday so that you can enjoy this indulgence free of guilt! Friday is National Donut Day, and Dunkin’ is offering customers a free classic donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage. The freebie includes favorites like Boston Kreme, Glazed, Glazed Chocolate, and so many more.

If you stop by the Half Moon Bay Dunkin' located at 118 San Mateo Rd., you'll likely have some company. Dunkin’ is the No. 1 retailer of donuts in America, and sells more than 3.1 billion donuts and donut hole treats worldwide each and every year.

Dunkin' reports that National Donut Day was established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. According to Dunkin’ U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Tony Weisman, “Donuts are part of the American story and hold a special place in our popular culture, so we believe a day for donuts is a day for America. This National Donut Day, we encourage Americans to take a moment to ‘Dunk Out,’ recharge and enjoy their favorite donut variety at Dunkin’.”

While you're waiting to snatch up your free donut, think about who you can nominate for the Dunkin’ Northern California Heroes Program. Pick a community member who goes above and beyond to impact, improve, and inspire Half Moon Bay. Each store in NorCal will select a winner. Submit nominations online through June 30.
