Torrance, California - This is Omar's second time running against Maxine Waters, where as a 26 year old Congressional Candidate he earned 54,000 votes in 2016. Twice the number of votes than that of previous Republican contenders twice his age. Omar, who is of Mexican descent has stated there are
nearly 90,000 Independents in the 43rd District and 400,000 unregistered voters. The district is 54% Latino.
By addressing these groups and getting all the Republicans to come out we have a path to victory. He noted that only 69,000 Democrats came out to vote for Waters in 2014, a non Presidential election year
With an entrenched Democrat currently in office, under investigation again for her family profiting off of her elections, questionable dealings by her husband and recent news reports about the disparity between
where she lives in Hancock Park, her townhouse in Washington DC and the unaddressed homelessness problem, unattended infrastructure and under-served voters in the 43rd while she chases after Trumps impeachment and taxes, Omar has stated this is nothing short of insubordination.

“Anywhere else, if some acted in the manner of Waters, refusing to work with or talk with their President and trying to get them out of office, they would have been fired”
This time around Omar has caught the eye of some national politicians who have started following him on Twitter and he has begun reaching out directly to the White House for support.
It has proven to be a busy week for Omar as he traveled to Berkeley in anticipation of Ann Coulter’s speech, an early morning interview on Breitbart Radio with Curt Schilling, working with his campaign
manager in forming his precinct team, organizing volunteers, directing his online and direct mail fund raising campaign, addressing the 54% Latino population and developing a strategy to register voters. He likes that he is getting a head start on the election. Outreach has also started in underserved Inglewood where high school ROTC students depend on second hand equipment which he plans on changing.
“We can't start too early especially with what is at stake in this race in the 43rd District” says Navarro.
Earlier in the week, he was a call in guest on KABC Radio Mid-day live with Dr. Drew and Michael Catherwood. Asked a variety of questions, most notable was his age, his knowledge of what it will take to win in his second time running against Waters and his current service to the 43rd District as Traffic Commissioner. The KABC hosts expressed admiration for what he is doing.
Curt Schilling expressed admiration and offered all the help Omar needs to win this race, which will boil down to knocking on doors, grass root efforts and meeting and talking with voters.
Framed as a David Versus Goliath, Rocky Balboa race, Omar embraces the symbolism.
Omar Navarro is running for the 43rd Congressional District Seat in California. The district is centered
in South Los Angeles County and includes portions of the Cities of Los Angeles, Carson, Gardena and Torrance. It includes the entirety of the cities of Hawthorne, Lawndale, Inglewood and Lomita. Be sure
