Ex-South Bay Cop Pleads No Contest To Soliciting Prostitution

He initially made contact on a dating website with an undercover deputy posing as a 16-year-old girl, the District Attorney's Office said.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – A former Hermosa Beach police officer pleaded no contest Wednesday to a misdemeanor count of soliciting prostitution.

Todd Lewitt, 51, was immediately sentenced by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to three years probation and was also ordered to complete 52 sex offender counseling sessions.

Lewitt, of Long Beach, is also subject to search and seizure conditions, including electronic data and devices, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

He was initially charged last August with one felony count of meeting a minor for lewd purposes after making contact on a dating website with an undercover deputy with the Los Angeles County sheriff's Human Trafficking Bureau, who was posing as a 16-year-old girl, according to the District Attorney's Office.
