Fiesta Hermosa Returns To Hermosa Beach This Weekend

Southern California's largest arts and crafts festival​ returns to Hermosa Beach this weekend; it will feature more than 300 vendors.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – The 46th annual Fiesta Hermosa, Southern California’s largest arts and crafts festival, is this weekend and will feature more than 300 vendors; more than 100,000 people are expected to attend. Fiesta Hermosa will take place in downtown Hermosa Beach on May 26 to May 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is family friendly and will include live music, carnival rides, painters, sculptors, photographers, food and drink, handcrafters and jewelers, according to the press release.

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce will kick off Fiesta Hermosa with a Memorial Day celebration to honor those who have served for our country, according to the press release. The ceremony will include special guest speakers Mayor Jeff Duclos, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, Colonel Woodrow “Tony Meeks” of the Air Force, and Deputy Secretary of Minority Veterans Elizabeth Perez. The Ceremony takes place May 26th at noon on the Main Stage.

Fiesta Siesta also returns to offer a tranquil setting for parents and their babies to rest and recharge, along with the Charity Beer & Wine Garden that supports local non-profits. New this year is ‘Fiesta de las Artes’ – a 10-booth experiential art zone at Fiesta Hermosa the Chamber created in partnership with South Bay Artist Collective, according to the press release.

One of the booths will feature a space for children to create their own art alongside local artists; a second booth will feature adoptable pets with The Peter Zippi Fund for Animals; other booths will feature collections from artists of the Collective, the press release said. Josh Barnes, a local street artist known as Love & Loyalty, will be painting a mural live during Fiesta Hermosa.

There will be a free bike valet lot at the beach staffed by Hermosa Cyclery, which offers air for tires and on-site diagnostic checkups, along with free shuttle buses to Fiesta Hermosa from the Northrop Grumman parking lot at the southwest corner of Aviation Boulevard and 33rd Street in Manhattan Beach, the press release said.

Attendees should bring reusable bags for purchases as vendors will not have plastic bags in cooperation with the City’s environmental initiatives.
