Irish Beer Takes Center Stage at Uncorked
In honor of St. Patrick's Day in Hermosa Beach, the wine shop on Pier Avenue is offering a flight of five Irish beers at a special price.
If you're planning to watch the Hermosa Beach St. Patrick's Day parade, you might want to stop by Uncorked, the wine shop at 302 Pier Ave.
Owner Jeff Bonafede is offering a tasting of five Irish beers for $10; wine club members pay $5. The offer is good through the weekend.
Bonafede expects Saturday's parade will bring in more foot traffic. Last year, the rain delayed the parade, but better weather is expected this time around.

Uncorked welcomes customers to the shop to watch the parade. It opens at 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday and Saturday.
More is in store at Uncorked this spring. The shop features wine tastings from B Wise Vineyards on March 20, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and French wines from Burgundy to Rhone on March 22, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

As the weather warms, Bonafede said his customers are trending toward lighter wines. Easy drinking options like Pinot Noir and Italian reds are in vogue as are Italian whites, white blends in the Rhone style and blends from Italy, Spain and Austria.
