HERMOSA BEACH, CA – The Hermosa Beach Pier and surrounding beach reopened Thursday after a closure due to a lighting storm, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. Residents were asked to avoid the area during the closure.
The fishing areas on the Redondo Beach Pier were also closed due to the storm, although patrons can still visit the shops and restaurants in the area.
