Mickey's Deli in Hermosa Beach Celebrates 64 Years with Throwback Menu

Owner Paul Mance and his son, Mickey, will be offering the deli's notorious "Sauce Sandwich" for $0.25.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- Local favorite Mickey's Deli is turning 64 and to celebrate the milestone, the eatery is offering a throwback back menu with its original prices.

The promotion and celebration will on April 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Owner Paul Mance and his son, Mickey, will be offering the deli's notorious "Sauce Sandwich" for $0.25.

The deli’s menu includes a variety of delicacies, including their popular hot and cold sandwiches such as the BBQ Beef Deluxe consisting of roast beef, mayo, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and pepperoncini.

The founder of the deli, Mickey Mance, opened the deli in 1953 at the age 22 after he had saved up $2,000 and took a small loan from his father. The deli quickly became favorited among local surfers that loved Mickey’s infamous, “Sauce Sandwich,” because of its affordability. After Mickey passed away in 2011, his son, Paul, carried on the family tradition.
