Residents Question Buying Event Tickets Online

Hermosa resident Debra Louise Brass, 27, was arrested Friday on suspicion of fraud when she allegedly sold fake Lady GaGa tickets on Craigslist. But Brass' attorney says her client is not guilty of the allegations and was actually a victim of online scamming herself when copies of her tickets were made and then illegally sold by someone else.

Patch talked to residents on Pier Plaza about the risks taken when purchasing event tickets online. The responses were fairly even with about half of those interviewed feeling comfortable with making online ticket purchases from websites, such as Craigslist, and the other half not in favor of the idea.
