'Suspicious Suspect' Prompts Police Search In Hermosa Beach

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – The Hermosa Beach Police Department conducted an area search for a "suspiscious suspect" near the 1100 block of 9th Street Monday afternoon, HBPD said.

The search was prompted after police attempted to stop a suspect, who ran away from police, an HBPD official told Patch.

As of Monday afternoon, it's unknown if any crime occurred, the police official said.

Authorities asked everyone to avoid the area.
