Funny Women Fest is a celebration of women in comedy that encourages community and
collaboration for female makers in all aspects of entertainment. Each year, Funny Women Fest
throws an #FWFLA party - showcasing the best of the best in comedy, art, and music - all created by
women. A place where indie artists share the same stages as celebrities, performing stand up,
sketch, improv, storytelling, original screenings and more. #FWFLA is a creative collective, going
beyond performances to offer panel discussions, workshops, and meet-ups for both up-and-comers
and leaders in the industry. The fest was created two years ago by Lauren Frost and Erin Miller
Williams, together the comedy production duo Cake Batter, and has since tripled in size.
Last year, #FWFLA featured over 600 performers from across North America, with appearances by
Maribeth Monroe (Workaholics), Kay Cannon (Girlboss, Pitch Perfect), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Brooklyn
Nine-Nine), Frangela (VH1's Best Week Ever), Kate Walsh (Private Practice), Wendi McLendon-
Covey (Bridesmaids), Missi Pyle (Inside Amy Schumer), and Kate Flannery (The Office). Past
supporters have included industry's elite from Sundance, UCB Digital, Funny or Die, CAA, Buzzfeed,
William Morris Agency, Backstage, All Things Comedy, Hello Giggles, Warner Brothers Digital,
Cracked.com, Amy Poehler's Smart Girls, and more.

#FWFLA has expanded to a block party style festival, in the hub of Highland Park, where art thrives
and creativity is celebrated. This year, Hi Hat will serve as the main stage along with community
supporters all along York Blvd.
"There's just so many types of creatives in Highland Park. We thought, why not bring the festival there
and celebrate them all?" says Executive Producer, Erin Miller Williams "Highland Park has always
been my favorite place to write and then treat myself to a taco truck and a nice beer. It's full of music
and art, now we're bringing comedy into the mix." adds Co-Executive Producer, Lauren Frost.
A portion of all #FWFLA proceeds will be donated in support of Downtown Women’s Center, providing
temporary and permanent housing for homeless and low-income women in Los Angeles' Skid Row
community.
