A Midsummer Night's Dream, Open Studios

1. A Midsummer Night's Dream

Students at the School of History and Dramatic Arts at the Sonia Sotomayor Learning Complex are scheduled to perform Shakespeare’s famous play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, today, Friday, Dec. 6 (as well as on Saturday). Directed by David Levine, a lead teacher at the school, the performances will be held in the school’s multipurpose room, located at 2050 North San Fernando Rd., 90065, at 5 p.m. There will be two performances on Saturday, Dec. 7—at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets cost $4 for students and $8 for adults. Call (323) 276-5500 for further details. 

2. Create LA Open Studios

Mark your calendars: More than 60 artists' studios will be open to the public free of cost on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 12 noon to 9 p.m. at the Create LA nonprofit arts complex located at 2558 N. San Fernando Rd. The event coincides with a group show and silent auction at the nearby Keystone Gallery, which will be a benefit fundraiser for Create LA. Click here for further details.
