Mark your calendars: The Audubon Center at Debs Park, located at 4700 North Griffin Ave., 90031, is scheduled to celebrate 10 years of connecting people to nature in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 10., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Expect good music, great food and plenty of fun. Click here to make a donation to the Audubon Center at Debs Park. Those who do so by Saturday, Nov. 9, will be eligible for a raffle whose prizes include a private bird walk for up to 10 people led by an Audubon Center naturalist, a free rental of the Audubon Center at Debs Park B-Day Party area, and a walk along the Los Angeles River with Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell.

NELA 8th Annual Veterans' Day ParadeMark your calendars: The Northeast East Los Angeles 8th Annual Veterans' Day Parade is scheduled Sunday, Nov. 10, starting at 1 p.m. from the Glassell Park Recreation Center, located at 3650 N. Verdugo Rd., 90065. Check-in is from 9 a.m. until 12 noon and street assembly begins at 10 a.m. The parade ends at Rio de Los Angeles State Park, 1900 N. San Fernando Rd., 90065.
