Brush Fire Breaks Out Near 110 Freeway

Firefighters battled a half-acre brush fire near the Pasadena (110) Freeway early Tuesday morning.

HIGHLAND PARK, CA — Firefighters battled a half-acre brush fire near the Pasadena (110) Freeway in Montecito Heights early Tuesday morning.

The blaze broke out in medium to heavy brush on a slope near Avenue 64, west of freeway according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters are getting a hand line in place and additional resources are not anticipated to be required, Stewart said.

No structures were threatened in the blaze, and no one was injured, added Stewart.
