You might or might not know this, but the Friends of Mount Washington School is raffling off a brand new Kia Soul for a school fundraiser. Tickets for The Great Car Giveaway cost $10 and are available at K York Studio on 5028 1/2 York Blvd., (213) 700-1811, through through Nov. 15, when the raffle will be drawn at the Friends of Mt. Washington's "Casino Night."
2. City Attorney Mike Feuer to speak at Northeast Democratic Club meeting

The board of the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council is scheduled to meet Thursday, from 7 p.m. to about 9 p.m. at the Highland Park Adult Senior Citizen Center, 6152 N. Figueroa St.
