Becoming Kingdom Ready, a Highland Park-based Evangelical ministry, will hold a gang intervention rally on Saturday, April 27 from 2-4 p.m. at the corner of Avenue 54 and Monte Vista Street.
"There have been a high volume of Gang Activity in this area and it's time to start to take back our kids, homes and community," Becoming Kingdom Ready minister Wayne Turner. "'Possess the Land' is the theme of our upcoming Evangelistic, intervention campaigns targeted at gang members and drug addicts, to bring about a reduction in crime and the senseless killing among our children."
Turner said that there will be "live music and stories of hope from ex-gang members and drug addicts."
