Explore the L.A. River With Your Little One

How about a morning of fun exploring nature next to the L.A. River?

1. Mommy, me and the river

As part of its Summer 2013 Interpretive Programs, the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority is organizing a special program along the L.A. River for toddlers accompanied by their mommies. The hands-on program, which begins at 11 a.m. today in Marsh Street Nature Park, is described as "a morning of fun exploring nature next to the L.A. 2. Occidental College Children's Theater performs Noah's Jurassic Ark

The acclaimed Occidental Children’s Theater is celebrating its 18th year with a new performance, Noah's Jurassic Ark, and three adventurous adaptations of traditional folktales in the outdoor Remsen Bird Hillside Theater on the Oxy campus. 3. Represent Mount Washington in the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council 

The Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council is seeking a qualified stakeholder to represent Mount Washington. Interested candidates are required to fill in a form and submit it to the council at least a week before the next ASNC board meeting, which is scheduled on Aug. 26. Click here to download the form.
