Family Makes a Home in the Valley After Sale of York Boulevard House

The Hernandez family's $875-per-month rental reportedly sells for $60,000 more than the asking price.

A Highland Park family that lived in the neighborhood for about 30 years—17 of them in a rented bungalow on the 5900 block of York Boulevard—has moved to Northridge after their $875-per-month abode was sold.

On July 2, Patch wrote about the impending move of the Hernandez family after the Eastsider L.A. first reported that the 83-year-old, two-bedroom house in which they lived had been put on the market.

The house sold Monday for $405,000—$60,000 above the asking price—according Eastsider L.A., which attributed the figures to Redfin.
