a healthy trunk of a 140 year old historic city protected olive tree being destroyed in Garvanza on 10-11-17

one of the trunks died after it had been moved by developer. Yesterday, the healthy trunk was destroyed as well and tree was replaced

"that tree was destroyed to replace it"; can't find much logic there. sad to see the City of LA being implicit (and letting itself be mislead) so it becomes a participant in total disregard to historic preservation, to the environment and to our community ("we were told tree was dead so replacing it was a good thing"). There are many other critical ill intended consequences to our community from unchecked developer's actions.
