Letter of Appreciation From Resident Looking to Return to Mt. Washington After 33 Years

Hello Ajay:

I am writing to thank you for your work as editor of Patch Highland Park-Mt. Washington and commend you on your newsletter about Highland Park-Mt. Washington.

It is amazing! I just discovered it a few weeks ago returning to Mt. Washington for Thanksgiving. I have a house there on Glenalbyn, which I bought in 1978 and never could bear to sell it.

Mt.Washington is a secret, shy, well-loved area that is very special to artistic, bohemian individualists. In the 70's I did work at Cal State L.A. and developed the first women's center there. In 1980 I moved to San Francisco and also Big Sur. Lately I have been fantasizing about moving back to my cottage in Mt. Washington but have been out of touch.

Your newsletter has just been an incredible source of artistic, social, political, and economic information and stories. Hard to believe how much activity goes on there. All the active groups and the new Gold Line … geez. I can't understand how you source all of this stuff.

I am so glad to see Mt. Washington and Highland Park improving in a good way. I am very grateful for your research and your beautiful writing.
