New Study Reveals The Quintessential Highland Park Home

Highland Park real estate features everything from Mid-Century modern post and beam construction to Spanish bungalows; however, nothing is more quintessentially Highland Park than a Craftsman style home. A new study by Agent Ace reveals that Craftsman and Arts & Crafts style architecture makes up the majority of homes sales in the area at 20%.

The study, which looks at data over the last five years, also paints a picture of what that typical Highland Park Craftsman looks like.

This humble Highland Park abode has not been coming at a humble price, however. The analysis notes the quintessential neighborhood home sold for $382.75 per square foot which is well above the Los Angeles metro price of $345 per square foot.

One home in particular topped the the rest of Highland Park’s Craftmans, it sold for $902,500, in 2014. The home, just north of York Boulevard, was a larger-than-typical four bedrooms, featured a generous sleeping porch, and period details. It may soon be dethroned though, another wonderfully preserved Garvanza-area Craftsman, with a price tag of $1,099,000, awaits a new owner.
