Southwest Museum Meeting, Understanding Spreadsheets

1. 'The Plan' for Southwest Museum

A meeting to discuss the longterm sustainability of the Southwest Museum is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 29, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Mount Washington Elementary School, 3981 San Rafael Ave. A representative of the Autry National Center is expected to give a presentation about the diversity of the museum's collection. Community members from across Northeast Los Angeles will be invited to discuss the museum's future at the meeting, which will be hosted by the El Plan Del Southwest Museum Working Group. Simultaneous translations in Spanish will be available. RSVP to info@elplan.org.

2. Understanding spreadsheets

A class on spreadsheets is scheduled for adults at the Arroyo Seco Regional Library, starting at 6:30 p.m. This will be an introduction—free of cost—to the uses of spreadsheets, how to make them attractive, and the basics of formulas. Sign ups are recommended. 6145 N. Figueroa St. (323) 255-0537.
