The 4th of July is a day when we gather with friends and family, but 2020 did not allow us to continue with this tradition. It was a year of unknowns, struggles, fear, and all the other negative emotions a person can feel. We didn’t know if we would ever see the light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Hello 2021! That light is shining brighter than ever and we are so happy things are returning back to normal. We are ramping up to once again hold events in Imperial Beach and bring people together. The amazing thing about Imperial Beach is we are a beach community, so every day is an event to us! We gather just to lounge with friends and enjoy our perfect beach weather most days out of the year. There aren’t many places with this beautiful San Diego weather.
Although we will not be hosting our annual fireworks display this year, there are tons of things to do in IB to celebrate! Head to the beach to surf some epic waves, hike through the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve, or jump on your bike and hit the Bayshore Bikeway. We have delicious restaurants throughout the community to grab a bite, or take a picnic lunch to Veterans Park.
