HIgh Surf Will Recede By Wednesday Afternoon; Advisory Expires At 2 p.m.
Until then, strong rip currents are likely so take care out there!

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA - The big waves crashing along the San Diego County coastline this week are expected to recede this afternoon.
A National Weather Service high surf advisory issued Monday night is set to expire at 2 p.m. But sets to 8 feet will be possible in some locales during the remainder of the advisory period.
"An elevated swell from 290 degrees will continue high surf before subsiding by late this afternoon,'' according to the weather service. "Occasional sets to 8 feet can be expected north of Newport Beach and south of Del Mar in the morning.''

The surf and strong rip currents could to lead to dangerous swimming conditions. Large waves may break over jetties and sea walls, and minor beach erosion will be possible, according to the NWS.
