Misreported news about IB, by KUSI, gets re-posted

After posting then removing an inaccurate article, the conservative news station has posted the article again despite public outrage.

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA - "Ugh... unbelievable", was the overwhelming thought in Imperial Beach when locals discovered that KUSI re-posted a glaringly inaccurate news story titled, "Imperial Beach residents catch acts of vandalism on camera".

Residents, within the geographical boundaries of Imperial Beach, complained to KUSI producers about the negative news report incorrectly targeting their city after this Patch article was posted on Facebook, "Misreporting by KUSI is Negative Publicity for Imperial Beach".

Initially, KUSI complied with requests to retract the misleading story by removing it entirely from their website.

However, after this follow-up article called-out the incident as "shabby journalism" and suggested a political motive may behind the story, the traditionally right-leaning news agency doubled-down and re-posted the fake news.

In addition to re-posting the article, KUSI's owner, McKinnon Broadcasting Company, filed a copyright claim to have a back-up of the video taken down from YouTube.
