San Diego Sheriff's Department Public Records' Request for 'All'
The Sheriff's failure to fulfill a basic Public Records' Request is a Violation of our State Laws & a big red flag pointing to Corruption.

On August 6, 2020 a Public Records’ Request was submitted to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department requesting the January and July 2020 Call Logs for the City of Imperial Beach. On August 12, 2020 the Sheriff’s Department requested an additional two weeks to fulfill the Records’ Request. However; on August 28, 2020, the Sheriff’s Department did NOT release the Call Logs and stated in writing:
“With regard to Item 3, Call Logs for the months of January and July 2020 for Imperial Beach, the Sheriff's Department needs sufficient information to identify the requested records. Please provide the incident location or address of interest for a Summary of CAD (calls for service) report.”
#1: California State Law REQUIRES government agencies to contact the Requestor if there are any questions or clarifications needed. The Sheriff’s Department’s failure to contact the Requestor in order to fulfill a Public Records’ Request is a violation of our State Laws and a big red flag that this government agency is horribly incompetent and corrupt at the least - and most likely attempting to cover up its illegal activity by refusing to release records.

#2: ‘All’ means everything. The Request was for the complete Call Log for Imperial Beach. A government agency’s failure to comply with public records’ requests in the State of California is a crime.
Do you understand the law as it has been explained to you?
