In preparation for tomorrow’s UnitedHealthcare IRONKIDS SUPERFROG Fun Run, nearly 75 children went through a training at the Boys & Girls Clubs of South County with Paula Newby-Fraser, eight-time IRONMAN World Championship winner (wearing black shirt). Newby-Fraser led everyone in exercises and relays with mascot Dr. Health E. Hound and Melissa Stout-Penn of UnitedHealthcare (wearing blue shirt). UnitedHealthcare is providing 100 complimentary admissions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South County to encourage more young people to participate. The South County Club is one of over 1,300 Clubs across the country that serves kids whose parents are in the military.

The second UnitedHealthcare IRONKIDS® SUPERFROG Fun Run is taking place at Pier Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 24, where kids ages 3 to 15 will have the opportunity to run on the same course as IRONMAN® 70.3 SUPERFROG athletes. The one-mile and half-mile fun run is for “triathletes to be” and aims to help stem the rising tide of childhood obesity through exercise and healthy lifestyles. Registration details are available at www.ironkids.com.
