6 Face 60 Felonies In Robbery Spree Spanning SGV, LA County

The group allegedly committed 8 home invasion robberies, one residential burglary and conspired to commit more crimes across LA County.

LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA – Six alleged gang members were charged today with a total of 60 felony counts for a series of home invasion robberies in La Cañada Flintridge, Rancho Palos Verdes, La Habra Heights, Playa Del Rey and Palmdale, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office announced Monday.

The defendents allegedly committed eight home invasion robberies, one residential burglary and conspired to commit two additional home invasion robberies in the cities which span across LA County between Feb. 9, 2017 and July 24, 2018, according to the criminal complaint. Over $1 million dollars in currency, jewelry and property were allegedly stolen during these home invasion robberies, prosecutors said.

  • Kelyon Jahon Thomas, 45, faces 38 felony counts including conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery, home invasion robbery, false imprisonment by violence, assault with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
  • Janalisa Bulan Estrada, 39, faces 27 felony counts including conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery, home invasion robbery, false imprisonment by violence, assault with a firearm.
  • Dennis Dean Coleman, 40, faces 14 felony counts including conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery, home invasion robbery, false imprisonment by violence, assault with a firearm.
  • Carlos Cisneros, 33, faces 58 felony counts including conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery, home invasion robbery, false imprisonment by violence, assault with a firearm.
  • James Anthony Carmicle IV, 46, faces 37 felony counts including conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery, home invasion robbery, false imprisonment by violence, assault with a firearm.
  • Richard Bill Morris, 38, faces one felony count of conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery.

"The charges also include allegations that the crimes were committed in association with a criminal street gang, that a handgun was used and a principal was armed with a firearm during the commission of seven of the home invasion robberies," the LA District Attorney's Office said.

Bail for the six defendants ranges from $1 million to $9 million. If convicted as charged, the possible maximum sentences range from nine years to 196 years, to life in state prison, the press release said. The case remains under investigation by the Palos Verdes Estates and the Torrance Police departments.
