Body Found On The Angeles Crest Highway

The discovery was made about 10:30 a.m.

LA CANADA-FLINTRIDGE, CA -- U.S. Forest Service employees clearing debris along the Angeles Crest Highway near La Canada-Flintridge Saturday found a body, authorities said.

The discovery was made about 10:30 a.m. on the Angeles Crest (2) Highway at Mile Marker 31, Deputy Armando Viera of the Sheriff's Information Bureau said.

"Based on the condition of the remains, this incident is being investigated as a homicide," Viera said.

"The cause of death is unknown at this time," he said. "It is unknown if the victim is male or female."
