One-Acre Brush Fire Extinguished In La Canada Flintridge
The fire has "essentially been put out and firefighters are now in 'mop-up' mode," the City of La Canada Flintridge said.
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, CA — A brush fire was reported in La Canada Flintridge Thursday afternoon. The one-acre fire broke out just before noon and was burning uphill at 5359 Godbey Drive near the intersection of Starlight Crest Drive.
Structures were threatened, but the fire was holding at one-acre as of 12:24 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of about 1:15 p.m., the fire has "essentially been put out and firefighters are now in 'mom up' mode," the City of La Canada Flintridge said Thursday afternoon.

County fire officials named this blaze the Godbey Fire.
Just before noon, LA County Fire was called to a blaze in the 5300 block of Godbey Drive near the intersection of Starlight Crest Drive. The Fire Department held the blaze to one acre. The fire has essentially been put out and firefighters are now in "mop up" mode. pic.twitter.com/yRDNdJAPxV
