Coronavirus Alert #31 – Los Angeles County Moves Into The Orange Tier, Allows For Additional Re-Openings

The County of Los Angeles has met the State's metrics to move into the orange tier which permits the re-opening of additional sectors.

The County of Los Angeles has met the State’s metrics to move into the orange tier which permits the re-opening of additional sectors. The Department of Public Health (DPH) revised the “Reopening Safer at Work and in the Community for Control of COVID-19” Health Officer Order to allow the following sectors to re-open with specific safety measures in place, effective 12:01am on Monday, April 05, 2021:

Restaurants can increase indoor capacity to 50% or 200 people, whichever is less.

Bars can open for outdoor operations with various restrictions.

Movie Theaters can increase indoor capacity to 50% or 200 people, whichever is less. Reserved seating to allow for 6 feet distance in all directions and masking is required.

Gyms, Fitness Centers, and Yoga Studios can increase indoor capacity to 25% with masking required at all times. Indoor pools can also open.

Museums, Zoos, and Aquariums can increase indoor capacity to 50%.

The City of La Canada Flintridge continues to support the directives issued by DPH and encourages all of our residents to comply with the social (physical) distancing measures and the use of face coverings whenever interacting with persons outside of your personal household.

Additionally, effective April 7, 2021, City Hall will be partially re-opened to the public by allowing up to six patrons at a time. Public visitation hours include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 8am to 12 noon. Face coverings will be required while visiting City Hall.
