La Cañada Flintridge City Alert 18 Department of Public Health Issues A Revision To The Health Officer Order

Increased the percentage of students with high needs allowed on a K-12 campus at any one time from 10% to 25%.

On Friday, October 23, 2020, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (DPH) issued a revision to the “Safer at Work and in the Community” Health Order. The revised order allows the following:

Personal care establishments (personal care that requires touching of a client’s face: facials, electrolysis, waxing, hair salons, nail salons, barbershops, skin care, body art professionals, etc.) to offer modified indoor services.

Batting cages, miniature golf, and go-cart racing may operate outdoors only (arcades and indoor entertainment operations must remain closed).

Increased the percentage of students with high needs allowed on a K-12 campus at any one time from 10% to 25%.

Schools may reopen TK-2nd Grades for classroom instruction only with a waiver application approved by DPH.

The revised Health Officer Order also specifies that food court dining areas and specified common areas located within an indoor mall or shopping center must remain closed to the public until further notice.
