Search Underway For Missing Hiker Near La Cañada Flintridge
The 72-year-old was last seen on the Mount Waterman Trail near La Canada Flintridge Saturday.

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, CA — Authorities are continuing their search Monday for a hiker in his mid-70s who became separated from his group near La Canada Flintridge over the weekend.
The search resumed about 7 a.m. for Eugene Jo, who was with a group on the Mount Waterman Trail when he lost contact with the group about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Jo had hiking equipment with him and was believed to be in good physical condition, a lieutenant said.
According to the Los Angeles Daily News, dozens of members of sheriff's rescue teams from across the San Gabriel Valley and beyond participated in the search Saturday night.

Rescue helicopters checked trail areas and rescue dogs were also called in to aid the search. But sheriff's officials had to call off the operation when there was not enough light to continue on Saturday.
The search resumed Sunday morning and continued into Sunday night until about 9 p.m., the Daily News reported.
