St. Francis Student Receives Carson Scholarship
Niles Wilson is one of nine students named a 2013 Carson Scholar. The award is bestowed upon students with stellar academic achievement and on those who display strong humanitarian skills.

If you ask St. Francis High School President Father Tony Marti, he'll tell you that Niles Wilson's recently awarded scholarship is a testament to how he epitomizes the true spirit of being a Golden Knight.
"We are very proud of his accomplishments. He continues to demonstrate his dedication to the Franciscan virtues while serving the community with joy and humility,'' Marti wrote in an email to Patch.
Marti found out Wednesday that Wilson, a senior, is one of nine Los Angeles County students who have been named 2013 Carson Scholars. They are among 58 West Coast students to receive the 2013 Carson Scholar title. And all the West Coast honorees will be recognized at a Carson Scholars Fund awards ceremony Sunday, at the California Science center, hosted by Union Bank.
