Target To Hire 100 Employees For La Cañada Flintridge Store
The San Gabriel Valley "small-format" Target is set to open Oct. 21, but the hiring faire in Pasadena takes place this week.

LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA – A hiring faire will be held this week to find 100 employees to staff the new 45,865-square-foot “small-format” store in the La Cañada Flintridge Town Center, which is set to open Oct. 21, Los Angeles Times reported.
The hiring faire will take place Aug. 9-10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pasadena store located at 3121 E. Colorado Blvd., according to the Pasadena Star News.
Although the minimum wage in La Cañada Flintridge is $11 an hour, the company's minimum wage is $12 an hour for existing employees, and will also apply to new hires, the newspaper reported. Target is committed to paying all workers at least $15 an hour by 2020, the Pasadena Star News reported.

“We are looking for team members who are interested in innovating, contributing ideas and discovering solutions as an important part of a world-class team,” Geoffrey Weaver, store team leader, said in a statement issued to the Los Angeles Times Tuesday.
The building formerly housed the Sport Chalet store, and work on remodeling it for Target has been progressing throughout the spring and summer, the newspaper reported.
