Tennis: CIF-SS Releases Team Playoff Pairings
San Marino's first dance in Division I playoffs begins Wednesday.

All spring the San Marino boys tennis team's season has been building toward this moment: the start of the Division I playoffs.
Time to prove the Titans belong with the big boys after they were bumped up from Division II following their run to the division semifinals last season.
San Marino will host the winner of Tuesday's Los Alamitos-Newbury Park wildcard round match in first round action Wednesday. The Titans' match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

San Marino will be led by senior Jonny Wang, who beat teammate James Wade to win his fourth consecutive Rio Hondo League singles title last week, and the team of Robert Carter and Nicolas Splichal, who took the league's doubles trophy.
“We’re excited,” San Marino coach John Kuramoto said last Thursday after his team dominated the Rio Hondo League Finals. “We’ve got our boys playing well. Division I is going to be new for us. This is our first year in Division I postseason, but we feel confident. We have our boys in play. As long as we play our game we’re going to be competitive.”
