Are You an Artist? Wanna Be in a New Documentary on Contemporary Art?

A documentary production company will be in town on June 1, and they're looking for a Laguna Beach contemporary artist to profile.

The planned film is called Art World, and three artists will be featured in it, with one from Laguna Beach. Cameras will follow around the chosen artist throughout their creative day.

Auditions/tryouts/interviews will be held June 1 at the Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art, 611 S. Coast Hwy., from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m.

The documentary is expented to be released next spring. According to the press release, the film will "raise questions and opinions of the contemporary art world," and include interviews with art directors, festival artists, gallery artists, collectors, gallery owners, critics, and blue chip dealers."
