Chiquita the Scooter-Riding Chihuahua is Laguna's Newest Celebrity

Sad story, happy ending: So this guy walks into the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, and trailing behind him is Chiquita, a 7-year-old Chihuahua that her owner has to surrender for financial reasons. 

NBC4 picks up the story, word gets out. Joe Cockrell, a Laguna Beach resident, sees the story and contacts the shelter.

Boom! Chiquita has a new home. And soon, a new scooter.
