Crosswalk Work Begins In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Caltrans is installing new high visibility crosswalks across Coast Highway, resident engineer Gagandeep Sidhu said.

These crosswalks will make it easier for drivers to notice when pedestrians are crossing Anita and Calliope on Coast Highway.

The work was expected to be completed by the end of December.

"The improvements will include an in-road warning light system and overhead flashing lights, which are activated by pedestrian push buttons at either side of the crosswalk," Sidhu said.
